Code of Ethics Training

Between January 1, 2019, and December 31, 2021, every REALTOR® is required to complete 2 ½ hours of Code of Ethics training and report it to your local Association or Board.

REALTORS® who joined the association after January 1, 2019, have since completed the required New Member Code of Ethics training and have already fulfilled this training requirement. All other members must complete the training by December 31, 2021, in order to maintain an active membership with the Association.

Failure to complete the required periodic ethics training shall be considered a violation of a membership duty; for which, REALTOR® membership shall be suspended until such time as the required training has been completed.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation! If you have any questions regarding this training or any other membership questions, you may contact the Membership Department.

Reporting Your Ethics Training

If you would like to check your Ethics requirement status, please click the “My Account” link at the top of this page. This information is displayed on the Member Dashboard in your profile box on the left. It will indicate ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ next to ‘COE Complete’.

Please Note: While instructors and schools report continuing education credits directly to the Georgia Real Estate Commission, they normally do not report NAR’s COE requirement on your behalf. This is because students may hold memberships at different Associations or Boards making it difficult to determine which Association should receive your attendance record.

If you have already completed the training program since January 1, 2019, but your status does not reflect this on your profile, please send an email to the Membership Department so that we may update our records. If you are unable to locate a completion certification and the class was for Georgia Continuing Education Credit, then you can log into your account at www.grec.state.ga.us to access the information. At this point, you can either print to a PDF or save as a screenshot. Please include the course title, date of completion, your full name, and license number.
