60 Years as a Charter of The National Association of REALTORS®

Six decades ago, in 1957, our Association was chartered to uphold the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, advocate for private property rights and advance the REALTOR® Party. The most culturally diverse REALTOR® Association in Metro Atlanta, DeKalb Association of REALTORS® represents nearly 2,000 real estate agents and brokers and is the Voice of Real Estate in DeKalb County.

In 2018, history was made when U.S. Representative of the Fourth District of Georgia, Henry C. “Hank” Johnson, Jr., issued an official proclamation setting May 10, 2018 as DeKalb Association of REALTORS® Day. This proclamation highlights DeKalb REALTORS® as a champion for civil rights through DeKalb County and the state, ensuring the rights and liberties of our citizens in Georgia are guaranteed through the U.S. Constitution.

Higher Level of Professionalism

There is a significant difference between a REALTOR® and non-REALTOR®. REALTORS® are members of the National Association of REALTORS, adhering to a higher level of professionalism through the REALTOR Code of Ethics and committed to continuous professional development, resulting in higher production and superior service to their clients. We offer networking events, classes and resources to help our members succeed.

Impacting Legislation and Legal Defense Activities

As a member of the DeKalb Association of REALTORS® , this grants you automatic membership into the largest and most politically influential trade Association in the nation, the National Association of REALTORS®. As the only advocacy group in America that fights exclusively for homeownership, real estate investment, strong communities and the free enterprise system, the REALTOR® Party is not focused on the right, left or even the middle of the aisle; it is focused on the issues that matter to existing and future homeowners and the real estate industry.
